Samantha Snake can also be made throwing on some yellow, black or brown yarn (about 6-6" strips and tied together with a bow and glued on...you then can have 2 genders and work on He/She pronouns as well! :) Mahalo, Becky! Fun ideas!

This is a cute idea! Kids know about Sammy the snake at my school. They love when I draw him on the board. This would be something they could definitely visualize, manipulate and enjoy! Thanks for the great craft idea!

Hey Becky

Thanks for the blog and all the amazing ideas. I'm really enjoying reading through them and am hoping to implement. Any ideas on speech therapy for kids with autism. Iwork at a school in Cape Town, SA, for kids with ASD and my one little boy is verbal, but has a strong lisp. I'm wanting to try Sssam the snake... Any ideas of how to get a child to make the "l" sound, and the "sh" sound?? I'd really appreciate your help.

Thanks so much.
