Monkey Preposition Picture Cards

Monkey Preposition Picture Cards

Marcel the Monkey is being mischievous! Use these picture cards to work on prepositions, receptively and expressively. Your students will love finding where this cute little monkey is hiding!

The prepositions used are:

  • in
  • on
  • under
  • behind
  • in front of
  • next to

Receptive Language:

Place the pictures that have Marcel with the same object (e.g., the barrel) in front of the student. Tell the student to point to the picture with the preposition you name (e.g., “Point to the picture where Marcel is behind the barrel.”). You can also put a variety of pictures out and have the student find all of the pictures where Marcel is “next to” to the objects.

Expressive Language:

Show a picture to the student and have him/her tell you where Marcel is relative to the object in the picture.

There are 30 picture cards included that are available in color and black and white versions.
