Winter Theme Idiom Cards and Worksheets

Idioms are a part of our language that often need to be directly taught to our students, including these winter and cold-related ones. To make it easier to address in your therapy sessions, these idioms and their meanings are presented in different formats – cards and worksheets, as well as an interactive file where students drag the meaning next to the correct idiom.

The card pairs include an idiom and its meaning and can be used in matching games or as stimulus cards for other games.  The 2 different worksheets each contain 10 idioms and their meanings, which can be used as practice pages or as pre-tests and post-tests. Answer pages for the worksheets are also provided.

Interactive Material: This material includes an interactive version that can be used in teletherapy. The file can be uploaded to Google Slides or opened in PowerPoint and then shared with the student. In order to drag-and-drop the pieces, make sure you are in edit mode (NOT in presentation mode). If you are using PowerPoint, you’ll need to enable editing.
