Picnic Scene for Directions

Picnic Scene for Directions

If you’ve got students working on describing, following directions, or understanding prepositions, you’ll definitely want to download these files! You can use the printable pieces and play a barrier game or have students follow directions or indicate an understanding of prepositions while creating picnic scenes with the colorful items.

To make it even more fun, you can turn it into a reusable magnetic activity with a metal baking pan and some magnets or a magnetic printing sheet. Just secure the background scene to a baking pan and add magnets to the back of laminated picnic items or print the pieces on a magnetic sheet and cut them out. The students can then place the pieces in different areas of the scene and they will stick!

Interactive Material: This material includes an interactive version that can be used in teletherapy. The file can be uploaded to Google Slides or opened in PowerPoint and then shared with the student. In order to drag-and-drop the pieces, make sure you are in edit mode (NOT in presentation mode). If you are using PowerPoint, you’ll need to enable editing.
