Fred Ate Fried Food – Activity for Practicing /fr/ Sentences

Fred Ate Fried Food

Make practicing /fr/ sentences fun and hands-on with this silly activity.  Simply cut apart the food pictures and place them upside down on the table.  Have a student pick a food card, place it at the end of the sentence prompt and say, “Fred ate fried __”, filling in the food name.  For example, if the jelly card was picked, the student would say, “Fred ate fried jelly.”  You can make the sentences even sillier by using other non-food pictures!

This activity is available in color and black & white printable versions and an interactive version.

Interactive Material: This material includes an interactive version that can be used in teletherapy. The file can be uploaded to Google Slides or opened in PowerPoint and then shared with the student. In order to drag and drop the pieces, make sure you are in edit mode (NOT presentation mode). If you are using PowerPoint, you’ll need to enable editing.
