School Rhyming Riddles

Get your students’ brains going with rhyming riddles!  They have to think about the word’s description and its rhyming clue, which is a super language activity especially for students with weak vocabularies and/or poor naming abilities.  These school-themed target vocabulary words are basic and can be used with most school-aged language groups. Included in the printable materials are 20 riddles presented in two different formats (game cards and worksheets) and an answer sheet.

Interactive Material: This material includes an interactive version that can be used in teletherapy. The file can be uploaded to Google Slides or opened in PowerPoint and then shared with the student. In order for the drag-and-drop pieces to work, make sure you are not in presentation mode. If you are using PowerPoint, you’ll need to enable editing.
