Creating Compound Words – Beach Theme

Who knew so many beach words are actually compound words?! Introduce your students to compound words and how they are made with these hands-on materials. Either print and cut apart the word cards or use the interactive file and have students arrange the simple words to make compound words. You can even make non-words and talk about what kind of animal/item it could be!

Interactive Material: This material includes an interactive version that can be used in teletherapy. The file can be uploaded to Google Slides or opened in PowerPoint and then shared with the student. In order to drag and drop the pieces, make sure you are in edit mode (NOT in presentation mode). If you are using PowerPoint, you’ll need to enable editing.
