Hot Chocolate Sequencing Activity
What’s perfect on a cold winter day? Hot Chocolate! Whether you actually make it with your students or just go through the steps, it’s sure to be a hit! Once you’ve gone over the steps, you can practice basic sequencing skills and work on temporal words such as “before” and “after” or “first”, “next”, “then” and “finally”.
Note: Most hot chocolate mix instructions say to add the powdered mix to the mug and then add the hot water. If your students want to put the water in the mug and then the mix, it could also be considered correct as long as the other steps are logical.
Interactive Material: This material includes an interactive version that can be used in teletherapy. The file can be uploaded to Google Slides or opened in PowerPoint and then shared with the student. In order for the pieces to be movable, you’ll need to enable editing if you are using PowerPoint.
