Multiple Meaning Words – Context Clues
Using multiple meaning words is a great way to work on determining the meanings of words based on context clues because your students can’t depend on their knowledge of the words themselves. With these sets of materials, students read a sentence and choose the underlined word’s meaning based on how it was used from three choices. There are 30 sentences included. The printable files are the ones included in the Multiple Meaning Words Set 1 and Set 2.
Interactive Material: This material includes two interactive versions that can be used in teletherapy or in person. The first file can be uploaded to Google Slides or opened in PowerPoint. In order for the drag-and-drop pieces to work, make sure you are not in presentation mode. If you are using PowerPoint, you’ll need to enable editing. The second file (labeled PowerPoint) is used in slide show mode and can only be used with PowerPoint due to limitations in Google Slides.
